Customers are responsible for selecting the most suitable van for their needs, though Goody Van can assist in determining the appropriate van upon request.
Packing items is the responsibility of the customer unless packing service is requested via the website.
Customers are responsible for arranging suitable parking for loading and unloading, and for any associated fees or fines.
The customer must handle any plumbing and installation related to home appliances.
Dismantling and assembling furniture falls to the customer unless they opt for this extra service through our website.
Goody Van maintains a strict no-tolerance policy for abusive behavior towards our drivers. In such instances, the driver reserves the right to terminate service immediately.
Ferry costs are not included in the quotation. Customers are responsible for ferry booking and cost.
Moving goods upstairs might incur additional charges, which can be checked on our website. Charges do not apply if a lift is available.
Customers are generally not permitted to travel in the van, but can request this from the driver under exceptional circumstances.
If the customer opts to load their goods, Goody Van assumes no responsibility for any damage, loss, or breakage during loading, unloading, or transit.
Ensuring access to the new property is the customer's responsibility. We do not commit to creating new access points such as breaking windows or doors.
It is not our driver's responsibility to dispose of unwanted items or garden waste. If desired, this service can be arranged at an extra cost.
Flexibility with booking times cannot be guaranteed. If a booking time change is needed, please contact the driver directly.
Upon service completion, we recommend that the customer and the driver inspect the van together to confirm that no items are left behind.
If a customer causes a delay, e.g., due to a lack of keys or unresolved parking issues, additional charges may apply according to the driver’s assessment.
Goody Van holds exclusive copyrights for all content on the website, with the exception of third-party links. Our website content is not for commercial use and all associated copyright laws apply.
'Goody Van' is our licensed trademark, and as such, it may not be used or claimed by others.
Payment is due upon completion of the service for customers paying in cash on the day. If payment is made by card or bank transfer, full payment is required in advance of service provision.
Extra charges are applied for every additional 30 minutes beyond the original quote.
Cash payments must be settled in full with the driver upon completion of the service.
VAT is currently not applicable.
Bookings can be cancelled free of charge with a minimum of 72 hours notice prior to the job start time.
A cancellation fee of 30% of the total job value will be charged for cancellations made within 48 to 24 hours of the job start time.
Cancellations made within 24 to 10 hours of the job start time will result in a charge of 50% of the total job value.
Cancellations made less than 10 hours prior to the job start time will be charged the full job value.
Cancellations can be made via the online booking portal, by email, phone call or live chat during office hours.
Rescheduling requires a 24-hour notice. If less than 24 hours notice is given, a 30% fee will be charged.
Costs for parking, ULEZ, and congestion charges are not included in the quote.
Goody Van reserves the right to refuse service if the property conditions pose a risk to the health and wellbeing of our staff. In such cases, if we were not informed prior to arrival and the job cannot be performed as a result, the customer will be charged 50% of the total job value.
In cases of an accident or unexpected circumstances affecting our cleaning team, Goody Van reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a service.
Customers can reschedule or cancel appointments over the phone or via the online booking portal, if the booking was made online.
Customers are encouraged to raise any disputes in writing, directed to Goody Van. As a platform that connects customers with moving drivers, our business model does not support any claims of any nature.
In instances of promotional or discounted pricing, demand may increase and potentially backlog our search facility. If the customer indicates flexibility in their moving time, they may be assigned to a different driver at the same price to avoid booking cancellations or delays.
If Goody Van is unable to fulfill or transfer your booking, we will promptly refund any payments made in full.
If the driver is delayed, our standard delay policy will not apply to bookings made at discounted rates.
Goody Van is a paid service. Refusal to pay the driver will result in legal action and the customer will be barred from using our website.
Failure to make payment will prompt Goody Van to register your details with credit blacklist agencies, which may negatively impact your credit rating.
The driver reserves the right to retain your goods for unpaid services. This may accrue interest, storage costs, and legal costs on top of the owed amount.
We reserve the right to disclose any information to law enforcement authorities as deemed necessary.
We do not typically store credit/debit card details; however, we reserve the right to charge a debit/credit card in the event of non-payment.
We strongly encourage you to leave feedback for each completed service, and to rate the service provider. Each completed service is limited to one review.
Feedback is intended as a review for the service provider. Threats of negative feedback against the service provider violate our terms and will be dealt with accordingly.
All feedback, both positive and negative, is welcome. However, if negative feedback is suspected to be malicious towards the service provider or the company, an investigation will be conducted and appropriate action taken. If you are not satisfied with the service provided, we recommend following our conflict resolution procedure before leaving negative feedback.
GoodyVan is not responsible for any claims made against the service provider. Such claims should be handled directly between the customer and the service provider. While we will do our best to coordinate between the two parties in the event of an incident, we are a comparison website and do not operate moving services or provide the 'man with a van' service. Therefore, we advise all customers to verify insurance with their selected service provider.
